Being that we are homebodies, our little fam had quite the night tonight! We decided to be adventurous and take the kids outside of our little bubble and drive down to the LA temple to see the Christmas lights. ( a school night! Crazy!) The plan was to walk around the temple, take a few pics and then head over to Westwood to a fun little cookie place called Diddy Riese. Getting to the temple is always a little tricky due to traffic.....there is always traffic! Once we got to the temple the kids had fun walking around and taking pictures. (these pics do not show how great the lights were) What an amazing place. For those of you who have never been on the LA temple grounds, it sits up on a hill over looking all the craziness below. Beautiful. I love, love the palm trees around the temple. It makes it so Californiaish...not a word, I know. Continued below!

It's been a LONG time since I've seen the Christmas lights at the LA temple. I remember how festive they are though.

We're total homebodies too...it takes SO MUCH effort to get the kids presentable and out the door! The lights are always great at the temple and I always love the nativities they do. YUM..diddy reese....

What a fun night. I love the LA Temple. It is really cool how it's up on a hill like that. I've never seen it at Christmas though. Sounds beautiful. We're looking forward to your even bigger outing in a couple weeks when you come all the way to Utah! Yippee!

Glad you took the kids! We loved seeing it a few weeks ago... there's nothing like the lights at the temple.
