YES ON 8!

Nothing like getting the whole family out to rally for Prop 8! What an experience this was for all. About 30 prop 8 supporters took three corners at a major intersection while the fourth corner was occupied by rambunctious 'no on 8' high school students. We had many honks and waves that supported us (and a few honks and other types of waves that did not). A neat lady and a family of 4 even decided to stop and hold a sign with us instead of getting their Saturday shopping done. In the end, there where many other fun things that we could have done today as a family, but we decided to teach our children about freedom of speech and getting out and supporting something you believe in . Besides is there anything more important than protecting families???

This is so great, Carrie. The commentary on the not so friendly passers by made me laugh. My little kids would be clueless, thank heavens.

I'm impressed! Your kids are good sports. My kids would have thought it was fun for about 10 minutes, then they would have been hitting each other with the signs.

Good for you guys! What a great experience for them. I wish there was more we could do about prop 8 from here (other than donate money). Way to do your part!

It's such a huge deal! Our ward did the same thing and the little kids got flipped off several times...seriously, people! We had our yard signs stolen the other night. I just don't think in general the public realizes the ramifications if this doesn't pass. I truly think the people that are against it are misinformed about the issue altogether---gotta keep workin' it! WAy to go getting everyone involved!

Way to go! What an invaluable lesson for the kids... something they will never forget, I'm sure. The pictures are great!

Way to stand up for Truth and Right! It is getting heated out there. Eight days left and counting before the election! I can't believe it. We have all accomplished so much in our work on this campaign, we are celebrating whether it passes or not! It's great that the kids can feel the positive influence they have contributed to this cause. This is history in the making.
